Pride in Woolwich: The young people cleaning up

“They blame the social media, but we wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the social media.”

Thanks to Michelle Goulding for putting this on YouTube. There’s life in Woolwich yet.

  1. Even before the riots I sometimes worried that our country is in a state of slow decline, in so many ways and that the young didn’t represent hope. This kind of video gives us that hope that we can improve run down areas and make Britain better ( I didnt mean to sound so cheesy)

  2. This is a fantastic example of the kind of positive activity that young people, often brought together through social media and with the support of the wider community, are involved in day in and day out. It simply doesn’t get the coverage that it should at other times through conventional media. Britain broken? Evidently not in Woolwich – but it might need some fixing in the City and Westminster!
